DinnerBooking Business design update

At DinnerBooking we always aim to do our best to optimize the user experience of our products. Right now we are focused on improving and uniforming the design across all of our platforms. Therefore we are excited to announce that an updated design for the iPad app will soon be released and available in App store.

The new iPad version has an updated and thought through design and will in time contain several new features, which you can read more about right here.

Table plan

In the new version you will find the table plan as known from the desktop (computer) application, so you can get an overview of where to seat you guests, how many sit’s at each table, arrival time etc. The tables and chairs will be colored according to the status of the booking as well as selected color for the booking (for the chairs).

Time plan

The time plan has been redesigned and you can chose between a full time plan view or split view with time plan and compressed booking list. It’s also easy to change the status of the booking via the booking status button on the booking list. Furthermore you can enable various default settings under ‘Settings’ in the left side menu, fx. ‘Only show remaining bookings’ and ‘Overbook’.

The booking window has also been overhauled both regarding design and functionality. After entering the booking details, you continue to guest selection in the top right corner.

In ‘Create booking 2/2’ you can find existing guests as well as create a new guest in the database.

Coming soon

We continuously work on improving the app with fixes, performance optimization and new features, and we appreciate our customer’s input in this regard.

The following features are in the pipeline:
– Feature to close online booking for the selected day like in the desktop app

– QR scanner for registration of DinnerBooking gift cards
– Administrator menu for handling standard opening times and overrides
